Teaching our teacher

In childhood, we may believe our parents
when they preach our inadequacies and wrongs and rights,
in life we may believe the world when it does the same,
but
what ignites the flame in us that
serves as the only fuel to fight opposition rather than become it?
Who teaches us to radically love ourselves,
to forgive ourselves,
to see ourselves as the only
in control
when – from birth to death –
we are told that we are uncertain and willfully wrong?
when any home we create in our selves
in the body
can still be burglarized?
Where do I begin and where does the world end?
