Reactions: Body to Earth

I speak with the sunrise
the sunset speaks over me.
Quiets me, holds a finger to my lips,
tells me I deserve.

The world wears us and I
have no choice but to be worn.
Worn by my bed at night
worn by the steps to my house.
I feel mocked and safe.
Sad and quiet.
Armored and home.

Every essay I’ve penned is a psych analysis
and I find myself questioning
my body as well
do you know who you call for
do you know who we call?
Truthfully, the earth and the body speak the same language.
